Conference session: Owning AD Through the NoMAD AD Auth Framework
Discover how you can easily add AD authentication and password changes to your application or script with the open source NoMAD AD Authentication framework. All of the knowledge of working with thousands oaf “unique” AD domains can be yours without having to do a single LDAP query.
In this session we’ll cover the basics of a framework, some deep insights about Active Directory and do a live demonstration of adding the NoMAD AD Authentication framework to a small project in Xcode. No prior knowledge of Xcode or Swift required.
About Joel Rennich
Joel is the General Manager for Orchard & Grove, an app development and consulting firm in Austin, Texas. In 2016, Joel released the popular open source application NoMAD and is now developing other tools that strive to make Mac admins’ lives easier.
Previously, he spent over a decade working at Apple as an Enterprise Systems Engineering Manager doing all kinds of fun things with lots of cool people while solving crazy problems to allow for integrating Mac and iOS devices successfully into enterprise environments.
Prior to Apple, Joel was frequently seen speaking at Macworld, WWDC, and other international conferences and gatherings of Apple-minded admins as the founder of AFP548.com.
Joel is a classically trained journalist and plied his trade as a paparazzi chasing Monica Lewinsky in Washington, D.C., before rising to become the Director of Photography for United Press International.
